It was a long two years but finally Lydia Ko treated herself after her 21st birthday with a win at the LPGA Mediheal Championship at Merced Golf Club outside of San Francisco. The win was a hard felt battle with Minjee Lee winning on the first playoff hole.

Down in Bayou country, the PGA Tour held the team pair event – the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. The team of Bill Horschel and Scott Piercy shot a -22 to win by a stroke over the team of Pat Perez and Jason Dufner.

The European Tour continues it play in the Far East. This time it was the Volvo China Open. The title was taken by Alexander Bjork by a stroke over Adrian Ojaegui. This was Bjork’s first tour win.
