Wachesaw East

Wachesaw Plantation East

Wachesaw Plantation East is cut out of a forest, so trees are a definite factor on every hole. The slightly contoured greens average about 6,600 square feet in size. There are also twenty-six lakes located throughout the golf course. Every hole presents its own unique challenge. Hole #7, a 580-yard, par 5, requires a tee shot over water onto a dogleg fairway that veers to the right and then to the left. There is no chance of clearing the trees on the dogleg fairway, so plan on reaching the green in four shots.

Since the course opened in 1996, it has been the home for several televised LPGA Tour events, LPGA players like Annika Sorenstam, Meg Mallon, Karrie Webb, Laura Davies, Grace Park and Cristie Kerr participated in these events. The course was given a 4 ½ star rating by Golf Digest’s Best Places to Play and was named the 2007 Myrtle Beach Golf Course of the Year by the Myrtle Beach Golf Course Owners Association.
