Dunes Golf Club
The Dunes Golf and Beach Club began in 1947 as a dream by local Myrtle Beach businessmen and women. A member-owned Club with 800+ members, the Dunes Club is located oceanfront along the pristine shores of Myrtle Beach, SC. The only golf course in Myrtle Beach with ocean views and timeless design by famed architect, Robert Trent Jones, the Dunes stands as a “Top 100 Golf Course” in virtually every major magazine ranking. The Club has played host to many PGA Tours, USGA Championships, women’s, amateur, national, collegiate, and state events.
As the second-oldest golf course in Myrtle Beach, The Dunes Club is still second-to-none when it comes to the golf experience. The Dunes Club is famous for the Par 5 No. 13 hole nicknamed “Waterloo” for its risky bend around Lake Singleton. The dogleg par 5 on this course has also gained a lot of recognition as a favorite hole to play. This course features a classic layout as well as A-1 bentgrass greens that make play fast and smooth.
Following a 90-day renovation closure, under the direction of ‘The Open Doctor’ Rees Jones, the Dunes Championship Course re-opened to fantastic reviews in 2013 and now offers world class golf instruction, a complete practice facility, oceanfront dining and full guest locker facilities.
As a private club, limited access to outside play has been provided. With rave reviews, the Dunes Club is a must-play for every golfer who has the privilege to book a tee-time here.
