With a huge number of golfers within a few strokes of the lead going into Sunday’s round at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, history held true and the eventual winner came from behind.
Gary Woodland shot a closing 64 (with 9 birdies) to post -18 as the leader in the clubhouse. Chez Reavie birdied the last 2 holes to tie Woodland and force a playoff. It only took 1 hole for Woodland to come out the winner. This was Woodland’s first victory on tour in nearly 5 years.

The European Tour was in Malaysia for the Maybank Championship. The title was taken by Shubhankar Sharma. Sharma has now won twice in his last 4 starts on the tour.

The Ladies European Tour has its season opener in Australia at the Oates Vic Open. Prior #1 amateur Minjee Lee was the winner with a whopping 5 stroke margin over the field.
