Jon Rahm is big, strong and fearless. It should in his play at the Farmer’s Open. Coming from 67 place on Thursday, he locked up the win with a 60 foot eagle putt on the 18th hole to post a -13 and just had to wait on several groups behind him. No one made a significant move and he ended up winning by 3 strokes over Charles Howell III and C.T. Pan.

The season opener for the LPGA tour took place in the Bahamas and many of the top ranked players took the event off. That left the opportunity for the Americans to dominate the top of the leaderboard. Brittany Lincicome took the playoff win over Lexi Thompson. Stacey Lewis and Gerina Piller filled out the top 4.

The European Tour was at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters. The title went to Jeunghun Wang after a 3 way playoff with Jaco van Zyl and Joakim Lagergran.
