As predicted the US squad dominated the play at the President’s Cup by 19-11 over the International squad. After Saturday’s play, the US squad was only 1 point away from the win with a 14 1/2 – 3 1/2 lead. The Americans increased the all-time record to 10-1-1 in the process.

At the British Open, a chip in on the 72nd hole gave Paul Dunne a closing 61 and a 3 stroke win over Rory McIlroy. This was Dunne’s first European Tour victory.

Down under in Auckland New Zealand, Brooke Henderson took the LPGA’s McKayson New Zealand Women’s Open by 5 strokes over Jing Yan.
